Mabandleni
Mabandleni High School is located at Kwa-Jobe tribal authority, which is part of the world heritage site St Lucia Wetland Park. It was built in 1984 and named after the first chief of Kwa-Jobe tribal authority, Mabandleni. Its locality is very interesting with Mkhuze Game Reserve, which is popular amongst birders, on the South and Muzi pan (a lake) on the East. In the pan one of the biggest aquatic mammals, the Hippo, boasts. The community in the area have lived together with these, potentially very dangerous, animals for decades.
Most people in the area lives from farming, by planting sugarcane, root vegetables, vegetables and maize. What is grown in the area is sold to local businesses in Jozini and Pongola. The tourism industry is contributing immensely to uplift the standard of lives for the local community.

The school does not have the infrastructure needed for the school to function properly but they make use of what they have. Many of the learners are living under small economical circumstances and the school are now supported by a feeding scheme, where students get one meal per day. The school has got a soccer pitch, which is shared by both girls and boys.
