Sending a late message
Skrivet av: Stéphaniè Öhrström 17 oktober 00:01Sending you a late message from Sweden today,
Just arrived from a friend. We've been having a girls night just for the two of us. Eating and chatting alot. Is there anything better then friends? I don't think so!
Have you met Christina and Sarah from our team jet? They are great, but I guess you allready know that it you've met them!
Today a big jacket was on my to-have-list. Its windy and cold in the morning and evening in Sweden now. Not the temperature I want so I hope this will keep me warm in the winter.
How are school and football?
Take care!

Hi!
Skrivet av: Stéphaniè Öhrström 03 oktober 16:56Today the autumn is here with rain and wind. That's nothing we like! Up north, the snow is comming and we hope that is stays there!
Now the serie has started again after the break when it was the European championships! As I told befor, we had lots of players in different national teams. Manon and her Holland was the one from us that was most succesful. They came all the way to the semi-finals!
As you know we are very anxious to prevent HIV/Aids. Today we went out for another manifestation - breast canser. We were out collectiong money and other stuff. We hope we can, through the football, reach out to other people so they want to help too! It was a cold and wet day, but as long as its for a good cause, we'll do it!!
I hope everything is good! That you enjoy playing football, that you stay away from trouble, work hard in school and that you have fun woth your friends!
Take care!

Bonga's ambassador - snothando
Skrivet av: Mdu 04 september 12:37Bongas school ambassador, Snothando Khumalo
Snothando was born at Engodini Area 17 years ago. She is second born from the family of three girls and one boy. They stay together with her mom since the father works far away and comes back after a month. Snothando, better known as Sno by her friends, is a right midfielder and is very quick. She told me a story that one day she was walking home and she came across a steel wire which she took home and now uses to train at her spare time. She started playing soccer 2006 while doing grade 6.
After school she fetches water, prepare food to be cooked and do schoolwork. On training days she always attend, because she wants to improve her soccer skills. At home they normally eat maize meal pap (phuthu), rice, samp, sour milk, beans, vegetable (cabbage) and meat. Her friends describe her as a girl who wants to always compete with boys and who likes to play with them.
She is a lively outgoing lady, who likes running, listening to traditional music while dancing and she also like a bit of R&B Music (Chris Brown). Her ambition is to become good footballer and policewoman . Her message to other girls is to be positive in life and never give up.
Regards,
Mdu

Hi from Switzerland!
Skrivet av: Stéphaniè Öhrström 11 augusti 22:38Right now Im in Switzerland with the u23-nationalteam. Its just for 4 days and we will play against them tomorrow. Its always fun to be away with the nationalteam.
I have now been in quit many countries with my team and nationalteam and thats one of the positive thing outside the football - you get to travel alot. See many countries that you wouldn't go to if it wasn't for the football!
When I come home we will be few players home. Its soon the european championship in Finland and we have a lot of players away. We have players in the Swedish team, Danish team, Dutch team and the Icelandic team. It will be fun to see them play!
I hope everything is good with you! With the football, school and that you are happy!

Hi everyone..
Skrivet av: Stéphaniè Öhrström 22 juni 10:26.. I hope everything is good!
We have had a heavy month behind us on the field and the results haven't gone our way. We fight so hard together, thain very hard and we know how good we are, so it's been frustrating. But then last game we won against Gothenburg that's in the second place in the league with 4-0 and we played GREAT! It was so fun!! We won as a team and it was very relieving! Its important to have fun together and we really had!
The European Championship for men under 21 is going in Sweden at the moment and last week the whole team went to see one game together. It was Sweden against Belarus and we got to see 6 beautiful goals when Sweden won with 5-1. Fun game and it's fun to do something with the team outside the field.
Take care!

Hi from Ezifundeni
Skrivet av: Ezifundeni 15 maj 17:15The importance of ladies soccer
The ladies soccer-programme is important to us because we learn to play with other people. There are many things to learn in soccer, like different ways of playing the ball such as lace passing. We need more time for practice, but we are not allowed to leave school early. In our team we also have a shortage of kit and boots, but all players are performing well anyway and we really like soccer.
As players we like soccer because we want to fulfil our dreams and to get a great future. One good thing about playing soccer is that you’re not getting time for bad things in life. We don’t have time for boys, which protect us from diseases and pregnancy.
As players under 19, we are very happy about playing ladies soccer – it makes good things to our lives.
